Total spent: $5.68 (see receipt below)!!!

I went to Super Double Coupons this morning at Harris Teeter. As many of you know, my husband leaves for work at 8 a.m. and gets home at 6 p.m. I prefer not to take my children into the store so that usually means one thing- shop early or shop late! Today I chose to shop early so I could take advantage of the great deals.

My favorite freebies were the Smart Balance Milks (I bought three), Bounty Paper Towels and the Nivea Chapsticks (I was just about to run out of chapstick). I also got two packs of Starfish Tuna for free as well as a freebie I wasn't expecting but found in the store- the free V8 Smoothie drink which was free after this coupon. You can print the coupon twice, too!

FREE Items after coupons:
Smart Balance Milk
Nivea Lip Care
Crest Glide Floss (used paper plus digital)Bounty Single Roll Paper Towels
Betty Crocker Potatoes
V8 Smoothie Drink
2 Aquafresh Toothpastes

Other Items:
Wholly Guacamole ($.50)
Honey Bunches of Oats Cereal ($.50)
POM Juice ($.50)
Chobani Greek Yogurt ($.40)

One tip I give is to redeem the coupons you want to double first. I have been told that the machine counts all coupons towards your 20 doubling coupons limit, including the ones that will not double. For example, I redeemed my $3 off 2 Nivea Lip care coupon last. Since they were on sale for 2 for $3, I got it free without the coupon even having to double. It was free at face value. For this reason, I saved it until last because I wanted to save space for my doubling coupons at the beginning.

Also, if you have the $1.50 off Smart Balance coupon, use it today since it expires today, January 4th (mine did).

One note- I did redeem a $5 Walgreens coupon during this trip. Those are allowed at Harris Teeter, since Harris Teeter takes competitors coupons for money off the total order only (not specific items from other stores). Some Harris Teeters will allow it; others will not. Some say the store must have a pharmacy to be a competitor with a drugstore and the Harris Teeter I shopped this morning did have a pharmacy.

Finally, there were lots of digital coupon match-ups along with the paper coupons, so be sure to check your Harris Teeter EVIC email and click any digital coupons you like so that you can use them alongside of your paper coupons. This is one way to stack coupons at Harris Teeter and thankfully, Harris Teeter allows stacking of digital (EVIC) and paper coupons.
