Triple Coupons at Harris Teeter and Lowes Foods in Leland, NC!

Wow! Those of you who are close to Leland, NC are getting spoiled with all the competition between grocery stores there!

The Lowes Foods in Leland is already tripling coupons indefinitely but now Harris Teeter has jumped on board and will be tripling coupons. Rumor has it they will be doing this indefinitely, too but I know it will at least be going on all week.

Remember that with triple coupons, all coupons less than $1 triple, up to 20 coupons per day per VIC card or 20 per transaction at Lowes Foods. Look to the left here on my website for a TON of FREE coupons you can print and focus on the ones that are less than $1 to take to triple coupons.

So, a $.25 coupon triples to $.75 off, $.50 to $1.50 off and $.75 to $2.25 off. This can equal HUGE savings!

Finally, as a side note, Hanover Center Harris Teeter across from the mall is giving a flat 10% off anything in the store through Friday, November 30th. So if you don't have any coupons, you can at least go there to get a nice 10% off plus they double coupons there.

Great Deal on Diapers Coming Up at CVS

If you are buying diapers for a little one (think baby shower gift, for a grandchild or your own child), you won't want to miss out on a deal coming up at CVS starting this Saturday, December 2nd.

Pampers brand Diapers will be on sale for $9.99. Here is a $2 printable coupon that you can print for an additional $2 off, making the price you pay $7.99. Print the coupon soon because it will probably disappear from online on Nov. 30th.

After you pay, CVS will give you back $4 in Extrabucks, so your true cost for the diapers is only $3.99, which comes out to around 12-13 cents per diaper. Compare that to Sam's Club's price for the diapers of around $.21 per diaper. It is a really great deal.

You can only do this deal once, though because there is a limit of one Extrabucks offer per person, so maybe you could get other family or friends to buy for you if you need to stock up.

Also, remember to use any Extrabucks that you earned previously at CVS to pay your out of pocket costs. I plan on using some of the Extrabucks that I earned during CVS's crazy black Friday sale event last week so I shouldn't have to pay anything out of pocket but I will still earn the $4 back in Extrabucks.

Click here to print the $2 coupon today!

CVS Trip #2: Made $8.47!

Made $8.47 from buying these items at CVS today!
Pictured: Wet n Wild Fingernail Polish Kit,4 GUM Toothbrushes, 2 90-ct CVS Brand Flossers, 2 Snickers Bars, 4 pack CVS AA Batteries, Phillips Earbuds for IPODs, Orajel Kids Toothpaste

Join me at an upcoming workshop or book your own!

After filling my belly with turkey and enjoying some time with family, my husband and i hopped over to CVS for a quick trip to pick up some of the easy freebies available in their short ad that started Thanksgiving Day and will run through Saturday night.

While the freebies weren't as plentiful as they were in the four day ad that CVS just ran, there are still several easy and fun freebies to pick out. What made them even better is that I was able to use the Extrabucks that I earned earlier this week to pay for the items that I bought in today's ad, so I paid very little out of pocket, only $3.28. After paying, I received back $11.75 in Extrabucks so once again, I made money off this trip.

First I bought these items for only $2.10 after using my Extrabucks from the last CVS ad:

Then I bought these items for only $1.18 after using my Extrabucks from the first transaction. I also used a $1.00 off coupon for the Orajel, which was not on sale but I needed it for my kids.

After paying, I was given $11.75 back in Extrabucks to use on a future purchase! Since my out of pocket was only $3.28, I actually made money. Here's how you can do it, too:

Easy Freebies:

CVS AA or AAA 4 pack batteries- pay $3.65 and get back $3.65 in Extrabucks, limit 1

GUM Toothbrush 2 pack- pay $2.50 and get back $2.50 in Extrabucks, limit 2

Mars Chocolate Single Candy Bars- pay $.75 and get back $.75 in Extrabucks, limit 2

Phillips Earbuds- pay $6.99 and get back $6.99 in Extrabucks, limit 1

CVS Brand Dental Flossers 90 ct- Pay $2.00 and get back $2.00 in Extrabucks, limit 2

Other Good Deals:

Wet n Wild Perfect Petites Nail Color Kit- Pay $2.99 and get back $2.00 in Extrabucks, limit 1 (so it's like you paid only $.99)

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick or Color Burst Lip Butter- Pay $6.99 and get back $4.00 in Extrabucks, limit 6 (so it's like you paid only $2.99 each)

Toys are B1G1 Free (must buy two to get the deal)

Holiday M&Ms- $4/$10- use 2 coupons for $1 off 2 bags from the Nov. 11 Red Plum You'll pay $8 for 4 bags and then get back $4 in Extrabucks, making final price $1 each bag!

Cheerios 8.9-14 oz- On sale for $2.87, use $.50/1 coupon and pay only $2.37 but get back $2.00 in Extrabucks, so it's like you paid $.37 for the cereal! Limit 1

Also, should you need something that is not on sale, there was a big 25% off coupon in today's Thanksgiving newspaper on the CVS ad. You can use that on your entire purchase in the store and you can even stack coupons on top of the 25% off but remember it's only for non-sale items. If you did not get the newspaper today, the cashier may have a 25% off coupon that she will ring up for you so it never hurts to ask!

You have through Saturday night, Nov. 24th to get these deals, so don't miss out!

Black Friday special- all items 30% off at www.couponingbinders.com through Monday night, November 26th! Click here to order now!

CVS- $30+ Worth of FREE items and made $12!

Pictured: $30.56 worth of items. I paid $2.10  plus tax for them. After I paid, I got back $14.10 in Extrabucks for a future purchase! So, I made a total of  $12 after all was said and done.

If you have not tried shopping at CVS, this is definitely the week to give it a shot! On pages 2-3 and page 24 of the CVS flyer, there are tons of FREE items. You first have to pay for the item but after paying you will receive the full amount you paid (not counting tax) back in the form of an Extrabuck. Extrabucks are like CVS money- you can immediately use them to pay for anything else in the store (except lotto, tobacco, stamps or alcohol).

Extrabucks are attached to your receipt and look like this:

What made this trip so much fun is that I already had Extrabucks to start with. I had earned $10 Extrabucks last week doing a diaper deal at CVS. So, I was able to use all those Extrabucks to pay for my first set of items. After paying for those items, I received around $12 in Extrabucks that I then used to pay for my second set of items. After paying for my second set of items, I got back $14.10 in Extrabucks that I have in my binder right now. I am saving those for a future purchase at CVS!

I split my purchases so that I could use Extrabucks to pay for the second purchase instead of using my own money to buy everything

Transaction #1
First I bought these items. I used my $10 Extrabucks from last week to pay for them so I only paid $2.03 out of my pocket (most of which was tax). After paying, I was given $11.34 in Extrabucks, which I immediately took to pay for my second set of items.

Transaction #2

My second transaction was buying all of these. I only paid 1.61 out of pocket, most of which was tax. After paying, I got back $14.10 in Extrabucks to use on a future purchase!

A couple of items were moneymakers, meaning that I used a coupon to buy them, but still got back the full amount of the item's value. For example, the Glade Scented Oil Warmer was $1.25. I had a coupon for $1.00 off that I got from the Nov. 4th Sunday paper Smart Source. So, I only paid $.25. But, after paying, CVS gave me back the full $1.25 in Extrabucks. I made the amount of the coupon, which was $1.00!

I also did this with the Children's Advil Suspension Drops. They were $2.37 and I had a $1.00 off coupon from here. After the coupon, I paid $1.37 but got back $2.37 in Extrabucks. There were other moneymakers, such as the Command Hooks (sale for $.99; use $1 coupon to make them free but get back $.99). However, I either couldn't find them in the store or they were already sold out. The clerk told me that people were there at 12:01 a.m.! Apparently, I arrived "late" at 7:30 a.m., lol....

Although some things were out, they had plenty of the Sparkle Paper Towel single rolls, the Hot Wheels Die Cast Cars, Powerade, Carmex Lip Balm, and Children's Advil 1 oz.

You have until Wednesday night, November 21st to buy these deals. If items are out when you go, either get a raincheck (you'll get the sale price but will not earn an Extrabuck) or try back since they will be getting more items in.

Take a look at pages 2, 3 and 24 of the CVS flyer. Anything that has the big red FREE box on it means that it will be free after you pay and you can STILL use a coupon on them, too!
See the ad in your Sunday paper or
click above to see the ad at cvs.com. Pages 2, 3 and 24 are the pages with all the free items.

Thanks to San Antonio Budget Examiner for first tipping me off to the sale and for some ideas of deals I could do!

Star News vs. News and Observer

Good morning!

Today the Star News still had not arrived on my end of town by 9 a.m. (I tried two different places). So, I will go ahead and type a list of all the coupons that came in the Raleigh News and Observer so that you can decide if you'd like to go get it.

Turkey Talk

With Thanksgiving a week away, I wanted to post about turkey deals for those of you who still need to get a turkey. After reviewing the ads for the three main grocery stores in our area (Southeastern NC), it appears that you will get the best deal on turkey at either Food Lion or Lowes Foods.

If you prefer Butterball turkeys, there is a $3.00 off a Butterball turkey coupon that you can use to get a great deal on Butterball turkey, too.

You get the best deal when you buy a frozen turkey so let's start with frozen turkey prices.

Frozen Turkey Prices

Lowes Foods- Pay only $.47 per pound for a House of Raeford turkey when you spend $35 in the store (frozen turkey only)

Food Lion- Pay only $.47 per pound for a Jennie-O turkey when you spend $35 in the store (frozen turkey only)

Butterball Frozen Turkeys- $.87 per pound at Lowes Foods and $.99 per pound at Food Lion - Printable Coupon for $3 off

Harris Teeter also has Harris Teeter brand Frozen Turkeys for $.99 per pound, but for that price you could get a Butterball frozen Turkey at Lowes or Food Lion.

As you can see, the best deal if you need additional groceries is to get your turkey at Lowes or Food Lion.

However, if you do not need to spend $35 additional dollars, a Butterball turkey from Lowes Foods is the next best deal, plus here is a coupon for $3 off a Butterball turkey when you buy 4 Green Giant Veggies, 4 Pillsbury Crescent Dinner Rolls, 4 Betty Crocker Stuffing boxes or 4 Betty Crocker Boxed Potatoes. The veggies might be a good choice since they are currently on sale at Lowes Foods for B2G3 free and you could then use the $3 off coupon on your $.87 per pound turkey!

Keep in mind, though, that you have to pull a frozen turkey out to thaw in your refrigerator 2-4 days before Thanksgiving or else you'll be in a bind trying to de-thaw it at the last minute. Recommendation is to thaw for 1 day for every 5 pounds of turkey, so a 20 pound turkey would need to thaw approximately 4 days. Read other turkey safety and cooking tips here, courtesy of the federal food safety website.

Fresh Turkey Prices

Should you wait until the last minute, you may end up needing to buy a fresh turkey. I am not implying that the frozen turkeys are not fresh or new. In this case, fresh simply means, "already thawed." Fresh turkeys are more expensive than thawed turkeys since they are ready-to-cook and require no additional thawing.

Harris Teeter- Harris Teeter Brand for $1.29 per pound
Lowes Foods- Butterball Fresh Turkey for $1.37 per pound
Food Lion- Jennie-O brand for $1.39 per pound

So, it appears that the best place to get a fresh turkey would be Harris Teeter for $1.29 per pound OR to go to Lowes Foods and use this coupon for $3 off a Butterball turkey.

Other Thanksgiving Deal Prices:

Food Lion:

Buy 6 cans of Green Giant Canned Veggies for $.69 each and get French's Fried Onions and Cream of Mushroom Soup FREE *There is also a $1 off coupon for the Onions, so total spent is $3.14 for everything

Bonus coupon in sales flyer this week only for $5 off $30 or more in party trays, good through Jan. 1st (cut and save for later)

Harris Teeter:

Lots of B1G1 free on McCormick Seasoning, Spices and Gravy Mix
B1G1 Free Sweet Potato and Pumpkin Pies and Cream of Chicken Soups
Sister Schubert's Rolls for only $1 (after using a $.75 coupon that doubles)
Stove Top Stuffing only $.49 each (after $1.00 printable coupon)
Coke Product 12 pack cans- Buy 2 get 3 free (comes out to $2.55 each, although they are $2.50 each at CVS)
Campbell's Cream of Chicken Soups only $.35 each when you buy 3 and use the $.40 off 3 coupon printed online

Lowes Foods:

Betty Crocker Potatoes are only $.50 a box when you buy 2 and use $.50 off 2 coupon
Sweet Potatoes are $.27 per pound (for those who want to make a pie from scratch)!
Dixie Light Brown Sugar is only $.35 after coupon or $.10 at Lowes Foods Leland
Cool Whip is only $.49 after $1.00 off coupon when you buy 2

What Thanksgiving deals do you see?

Remember that these prices are good through Thanksgiving Day, on Thursday night. The weekly ad is always extended two days during the week of Thanksgiving.

Children's Advil Moneymaker at CVS!

I love it when you can make money buying items you need. That is going to happen starting this Sunday at CVS.

In the ad preview, CVS shows that Children's Advil will be $2.37 at CVS starting Sunday, Nov. 18th. Use this coupon to pay only $.87. After paying, you will get back $2.37 in Extrabucks attached to the bottom of your receipt! That means you will have MADE $1.50 from buying the Children's Advil. Love it!

As a side note, CVS is having a crazy sale starting Sunday. On the second and third page of their upcoming ad preview, which you can view at www.cvs.com, there are a ton of freebies that CVS is giving out. All the products are free after they give you back your Extrabucks rewards.

My plan is to use my $10 Extrabucks that I earned from doing the diaper deal this week to pay for all the sale items so that I don't have to pay out of pocket. CVS will then give me back the full amount that I paid in Extrabucks, so I can use those Extrabucks to buy something else.

Thank you to Debt Free Through Spending for the heads up!

Print THIS COUPON for Children's Advil and save it in your binder to be prepared for the deal on Sunday!

Pampers Diapers only $4.66 at CVS!

Pampers Diapers are a great deal this week at CVS, especially if you can use coupons. Even without coupons, they are worth buying, but the coupons make it an even sweeter deal.

Buy:

3 Pampers Diapers (Swaddlers, Baby Dry, Cruisers) for $10 each

Use 3 coupons for $2.00 off (from the November P&G Insert)

You'll Pay: $24 plus tax

After paying, attached to the bottom of your receipt, you'll get back $10 in Extrabucks to spend on a future purchase at CVS!

Counting the Extrabucks, you paid only $14 for 3 packs of diapers, which is $4.66 each. That is a really good deal.

You must buy 3 packs to earn the Extrabucks.

Even if you don't have the $2 off coupons, if you buy 3 packs it still comes out to $6.66 per pack which is a pretty good price. I've seen better but I've definitely seen worse!

You have through Saturday night to do this deal at CVS!

*Update- there is a new Huggies coupon that you can print to make the deal even more awesome if you like Huggies diapers. I believe they come out to be $3.67 per pack. Click here for the details on that.

My Super Double Coupons Trip #3

I paid $25.73 for everything, down from $105.17!

I made it again Sunday to Super Doubles! Since my policy is to try not to take the kids with me to the store, the weekend is really my best time to shop since my husband can be on kid duty while I run out.

See my other trips here at Super Double Deals Trip #1 and here at Super Double Deals Trip #2.

This was another great trip. Pre-coupon total was $105.17 and I paid $25.73. See the breakdown of my deals below and you still have time to get in for more Super Doubles trips since it ends Tuesday night!

Earn a FREE Binder Promotion!

It occurred to me that there may be people out there who would like a couponing binder but are on a budget. Or, perhaps you are like me and want a deal.

I decided to come up with a way that people could save money off the purchase of a new couponing binder. It involves little more than telling people about Delly's Deals and our upcoming workshops

Please see the details below:

Earn a FREE Binder Promotion

It’s easy! Refer people to a workshop and get $5 off per person who attends. Think: family, friends, coworkers, church friends, neighbors and acquaintances as possible sources for spreading the word.

I have a workshop coming up next Saturday, Nov. 10th. What a great way to help someone else learn how to save big bucks in the grocery store AND earn money off a new couponing binder for yourself.

Refer:
1 person= $5 off
2 people= $10 off
3 people= $15 off
4 people= $20 off
5 people= $25 off
6 people= $30 off
7 people= FREE Deluxe Binder Kit!

You will need to send me an e-mail letting me know who you told about the workshop so that I can check my roster to make sure they attend. I will contact you after the workshop to confirm that they attended and let you know how much credit towards a binder you have.

Keep in mind that these make great Christmas/birthday gifts, too, so even if you already have a binder, you could use this credit towards gifting someone a binder.

If you already have a binder, note that our new models come with strap, so if you want a new one without paying, this would be a great way to get it! You could then donate your old binder (just a thought).

If you have any questions or need to contact me, reach me at delly@dellysdeals.com. They can see details on the workshop here.

Star News vs. News and Observer

Good morning! Today you should be finding both a Red Plum and a Smart Source Coupon insert packet in both the Raleigh and Wilmington newspapers. Oddly, my Wilmington newspaper was missing the Smart Source but instead had two Red Plum inserts. Clearly that was a mistake.

Let's take a look at both newspapers to see which one had more!
