Best Deal on Milk and Eggs This Week

I wanted to share that if you need milk and eggs, Harris Teeter has the best price that I've seen so far this week. Milk is $2.97 per gallon and eggs are $.97 per dozen through May 15th.

Note that these prices are better than WalMart, Sams Club or Costco prices. I have found that buying on sale at the grocery store tends to be a better deal than anywhere else.

About every two weeks or so, Walgreens puts their milk on sale, too, usually for $2.99 per gallon.

By the way, milk CAN be frozen. Just pour a teeny little bit out so that it doesn't explode.

I'm not sure that I have a tip for making eggs last past their expiration date, but if you do, feel free to share it with me!

  1. Hey Delly,
Check out this info on preserving eggs for up to 6-12 months:

There seems to be some controversy surrounding preserving eggs in this fashion; however, if you use gloves and cook the eggs thoroughly before use, this method should be safe.
